Access to Information & Privacy
Your information is a guest in our care. This page explains how to ask us for information, and how we protect information you give us.
Requesting information (PAIA)
The Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) gives you the right to request access to certain records held by an organisation. You may send a request to uManity Foundation NPC in writing, describing the record you are looking for and how we should reach you.
We will acknowledge your request, tell you what we hold, and explain plainly if we are unable to release something — for example where a record contains another person’s personal information or safeguarding detail.

A formal PAIA manual will be published in the Public Documents library once it has been adopted. Until then, requests are handled through the contact above.
Protecting your personal information (POPIA)
We collect only what we need, keep it only as long as we need it, and use it only for the errand you asked us to run. We do not sell personal information.
You may ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Where a record must be retained for financial or legal reasons, we will tell you why.
Sensitive records — safeguarding concerns, complaints, and anything shared in confidence — are held under restricted access and are never displayed publicly.
Our full Privacy Policy describes this in more detail.
