Pniël Museum and Heritage Site

Preserving the stories, identity and heritage of a community.

Pniël Museum and Heritage Site preserves the stories, memories and identity of a community shaped by resilience, faith and belonging.

More than a collection of historic objects, the museum offers visitors an opportunity to understand the people, families and shared history that continue to shape Pniël today.

During uManity's Community Reawakening gathering, young people and community members were invited to explore the museum and reconnect with the story of the place they call home.

Because communities do not only need a future.
They also need to remember where they came from.

Memory matters

A community that remembers itself is a community that can imagine itself forward.

Partners, not projects

We walk alongside local organisations already doing the work — never over them.

Rooted in place

Every organisation featured here is anchored in a specific place and the people who live there.

Know an organisation?

Every place has a keeper of its story.

If you know a community organisation, museum or heritage space that deserves to be seen — introduce us. We'll listen first.
